Open data collection

HAM has started to make the art collection of the people of Helsinki available to everyone. Anyone will be able to use the now released works from the collection and creat their own designs: textile patterns, cases for mobile phones or t-shirt prints.

The first works included in the open data collection are Vilho Lampi’s Liminganjoki River (1934) and Jalmari Ruokokoski’s Rainbow (1912). HAM intends to make more works from the collection openly available.

The art museum asks people to post Instagram pictures of their creations with the hashtag #HAMdata.
