Guided tours and workshops

The guided tours held on Saturdays are open to all visitors for the price of the admission ticket.

HAM’s ticket counter and entrance are located on the second floor of Tennis Palace, which is accessible using lifts located in the vicinity of all the exits. On the Eteläinen rautatienkatu end there is an escalator leading directly to the museum ticket counter. The exhibition facilities are located on two floors. Lift access to the upper exhibition floor (3rd floor) is locate in the inner lobby of the museum.


For schools and kindergartens

HAM offers affordable guided tours for comprehensive school, upper secondary school and vocational school pupils. We recommend reserving guided tours at least two weeks in advance.

Immerse yourself in art by creating and experiencing it in good company! Join as you are; no prior knowledge or skill required!

  • Every Saturday 14:00–16:00
  • Different themes and techniques based on current exhibitions.
  • For all ages, children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • No advance registration required.
  • Included in the museum admission fee, free entry for under 18 year olds.

  • 8 July Modernist setting. Painting plates with porcelain colors.
  • 15 July Marks of leaves. Monotype printmaking.
  • 22 July Patchwork melodies. We make patchworks with needle, tread and glue.
  • 29 July Utopian cities in postcards. We tune postcards using collage techniques and paint markers.
  • 5 August Color and joy. Painting with mixed media.
  • 12 August Ten steps. We make colorful ink drawings inspired by Cris af Enehielm’s art.
  • 19 August Slimy deep sea creatures. Painting with watercolor.
  • 26 August Encounters. We paint picture pairs with acrylics.
  • 2 September Laughing plate. Porcelain painting.
  • 9. September Plain selfportrait. Paper collage.
  • 16.September Painting with joy. Painting with acrylics or watercolors.
