Helsinki is full of invisible stories. Public sculptures are centrally located in the various districts of the city, in places where people live their daily lives and celebrate special occations.
Every sculpture has seen hundreds of quarrels and thousands of kisses.
We want to give voice to people’s memories. On this site HAM collects stories about experiences you have had that involve public sculptures. If you would also like to share a photograph about a sculpture, let us know by filling in the sculpture memory form.
The memories will be published on this Sculpture Memory site and on the pages of the individual sculptures. Some of them may even be included on the public art map or become part of a guided tour! To find a sculpture, use HAM’s sculpture search.
The Sculpture Memory project is part of the Europe wide DiverCity project. Its purpose is to give voice to the multitude of people’s memories.
