Weave with Rosa Tolnov Clausen

Learn how to weave with textile designer Rosa Tolnov Clausen! These guided sessions are part of the Weaving Club – a space where you can weave, meet others, and hang out during the exhibition Magdalena Abakanowicz: Crossing Boundaries. The colours, fibres, yarns and the architectural scale loom are inspired by the work of the iconic Polish artist.

“Handweaving has millennia-old traditions across the world that have been developed and refined over time. For me, Magdalena Abakanowicz stands out as a contemporary artist who, through her work with fibre, shape and scale, has truly reconfigured the craft.

My own weaving practice moves between the fields of craft and design. I create physical spaces around handweaving, using the craft as a catalyst for physical, social, and creative interaction, as well as a pause within contemporary urban life.”
