Tekijä Männikkö Esko Teos Untitled Ajoitus 2005 Inv.nro 2009/48/1 Pääluokka Valokuva Erityisluokka Värivedos Mitat 74×54 Karttuva kokoelma Who Is an Animal? (available 17.5. – 18.8.2024) The exhibition looks at the various ways of depicting animals, and the different roles they are assigned in art. On this tour, we will explore artworks in the exhibition, which is primarily based on HAM’s art collection. The works draw attention to how artists strive even more to break the power structure between humans and other animals, and make visible what unites us. BOOK HERE Nastja Säde Rönkkö: Survival Guide for a Post-Apocalyptic Child (available 17.5. – 8.9.2024) Nastja Säde Rönkkö’s thought-provoking installation invites viewers to reflect on the uncertain future facing humankind and all living beings. At the core of the work, 26 videos examine strategies for crisis survival. On the guided tour, we will explore exhibition’s themes and stories behind the videos. BOOK HERE The Girl Who Turned into a Rosebush (available 9.2. – 29.9.2024) The Girl Who Turned into a Rosebush reflects on the practices of expressing and seeing. On the guided tour, we will explore the City of Helsinki’s art collection through six themes. By closely observing the artworks, attention is drawn to details that usually seem irrelevant. The exhibition features old and new works from the collection, executed with various media. Through dialogue and juxtaposition, they provide opportunities for new interpretations. BOOK HERE Tove Jansson: Juhlat maalla, 1947 (yksityiskohta). © Tove Janssonin kuolinpesä. Kuva: HAM / Hanna Kukorelli.
