Art workshop with Tuomo Laakso: Expressive self portraits

At this workshop, we will be drawing self portraits using mirrors, with coloured pencils and crayons. The workshop will combine observational drawing, the foundations of portraiture, and colour expression.

Visual Artist Tuomo Laakso teaches observational drawing on the Free Art School’s open art courses and serves as a visiting lecturer in the painter training programme. “Creating images is a way of opening up my feelings to both myself and others. Transforming an experience into a piece of art gives it visibility and weight.”
