Competition to bring public art to Central Pasila in Helsinki. The purpose of the competition was to find several permanent and site-specific public artworks for the pedestrian area of a bridge that will connect East and West Pasila.
The competition aimed to seek proposals for works of art to be placed in Sompasaari in Kalasatama.
The works of art were chosen through an open application process for community art which was organised by HAM in the spring of 2017. We received more than 80 applications and were very pleased about all the interest. Thank you to all the applicants.
