People say that Tove Jansson started drawing even before she learned to walk!

Join us at HAM to celebrate Tove’s birthday by drawing in the spirit of her works. In the exhibition space, drawing materials and tips will be available. Inspiration can be drawn from both festive frescoes and paintings depicting the seasons, featuring characters from the Moomin Valley. Younger visitors will surely enjoy the interactive space where Jansson’s artworks come to life through sound, animation, and tactile installations.

You can also explore the background of Jansson’s works with HAM’s guides. Short guided tours in Finnish or English will be held by the artworks at 12 noon, 2 pm and 4 pm.

Have a wonderful Tove Jansson and Finnish Art Day! In honour of the day, admission to HAM is free.
