One of the many realised entries was “The Sundial” by Gerda Qvist (1883-1957). The pedestal of “The Sundial” is black granite and the dial is worked from metal. The work includes raised figures and the inscriptions TEMPUS FUGIT, MCMXXXI and the signature G. QVIST. The work belongs to the City of Helsinki’s art collection, which is managed and curated by HAM.
