Antti Tolvi’s performance

Antti Tolvi encourages us to reflect on time and listening. For Organ and Pause is both an installation and a long-duration performance that begins when the exhibition opens and ends when it closes.

This work consists of sound, light and beds that vibrate at a low frequency, and it invites you to pause and reflect. The continuous sound is produced by the angelica organ built by Tolvi that goes quiet seven times during the exhibition. These pauses provide space for the performances composed by Tolvi and performed by him together with other musicians.
