Sound of exhibition

On March’s Free Friday, visitors can listen to a playlist curated by artist Petri Ala-Maunus in the Blazing Sky exhibition. Ala-Maunus often listens to music while working in his studio, and the works in Blazing Sky were created to the rhythm of these sounds. The range of genres is wide—throughout the day, you can hear everything from rock and pop to folk and black metal at the exhibition.

Music has also had a strong aesthetic influence on Ala-Maunus’s art. Album cover art from metal bands has been an important source of inspiration for the artist and a gateway into the kind of captivating fantasy landscapes seen in his work.

Short guided tours

Starting in March, you can join 15-minute guided tours on Free Fridays. Tours begin every hour between 1 pm and 6 pm, and on 27 March they will take place in the Blazing Sky exhibition. The guide will start in the exhibition hall, and you are welcome to join at any point during the tour.
