Free Friday
11:00 - 19:00
HAM offers free entry to all on the last Friday of each month.
Exhibitions to Music
Every other Free Friday, HAM’s exhibition halls will be filled with music. Exhibitions to Music gigs, concerts and playlists will take visits to the exhibitions to a whole new level. Music inspired by the themes, pieces and artists of the exhibitions will offer new takes and a deeper experience as art forms meet.
On October’s Free Friday at 16:00–18:00, visitors will be able to listen to music from around the world at the Leena Luostarinen – Misfit exhibition. Miia Laine, whose musical interests stretch far and wide, has picked out a playlist of tracks influenced by Luostarinen’s foreign travels. The tunes will transport visitors to the likes of North Africa, Southeast Asia, China, India and the USA.
Laine hosts the special music show Kaiken maailman kappaleita (‘Songs from all over the world’) on Radio Helsinki, offering listeners the chance to explore all kinds of music from across the globe.
