In the beginning of the 19th century artists were typically trained in both the arts and architecture, of which Gunnar Finne (1886-1952) is a prime example.
Horses is made from dark granite and depicts two stylized horses playing together. The work belongs to HAM / Bäcksbacka collection donated to The City of Helsinki in the 1970’s.
Horses was moved from Meilahti to Tammisalo and was revealed there in a new location November 16th 2015.
The work belongs to the City of Helsinki’s art collection, which is managed and curated by HAM.
