`The Wave’ was commissioned by Alko, the government alcohol company, to be placed in front of the Itämeritalo building. It was the first completely constructivist public monument in Helsinki. It is 12 metres high and 5 metres wide. Its materials are stainless steel and anodized aluminium. The work belongs to the collections of the Helsinki Art Museum.
