HAM is looking for a producer for Helsinki Biennial

HAM Helsinki Art Museum is one of the most significant art museums in Finland and the Nordic region. It looks boldly towards the future and aims to create meaningful experiences for its audiences through its activities. HAM has an extensive international exhibition program and in addition, HAM curates and produces the Helsinki Biennial. HAM is responsible for the Helsinki Art Collection of over 11 000 artworks, including the City of Helsinki’s public art collection. HAM commissions new public artworks and acquires both Finnish and international art. HAM also serves as the regional art museum for Uusimaa. HAM is a foundation-based organisation and part of the City of Helsinki Group.

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team.

PRODUCER

Temporary position 1.10.2026–31.10.2027. The position is part-time (60 %) 1.10.–31.12.2026 and 1.–31.10.2027, and full-time 1.1.–30.9.2027.

In this role, you will produce artwork and event productions for the Helsinki Biennial. You will join HAM’s exhibitions team and work together with the multidisciplinary production team of the Helsinki Biennial. During the installation and event phases of the Biennial, you will primarily work on-site at the venues.

Core responsibilities

  • Coordination and practical arrangements of the artwork productions and events of Helsinki Biennial
  • Purchases related to the artwork productions and events of Helsinki Biennial
  • Cooperation with the Helsinki Biennial artists and collaborators
  • Taking part in the sustainability reporting of the Helsinki Biennial

We expect

  • Relevant higher education degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Working experience in exhibition or event production
  • Strong written and spoken English

We consider an advantage

  • Experience in the field of arts
  • Experience in the production of urban space or outdoor events
  • Familiriaty of principles and tools of carbon footprint calculation
  • Finnish language skills

Salary: 3183,38 €/month (for 100% working time)

Working hours: 36:15 h/ week (full-time)
