Hat Trick

Anne Alho’s (1955–2010) Hat Trick is installed in the large window wall in the entrance hall of the Kallahti Youth Centre. It features orange suns, apples and wispy clouds hanging from a swirling shape. Crowning it all is a top hat. Mounted on pillars, the work is made of bent steel bars, acrylic sheets and painted steel plating.

The artist sought to depict the ways of the world in her work. On the one hand, there is disorder, on the other, happy coincidences and events.

The work was produced under the Percent for Art programme, and it belongs to the collection of the City of Helsinki, managed by HAM Helsinki Art Museum.
