The piece can also be viewed from the second-floor studios above. It consists of three hemispherical elements and copper tubes. The wooden parts are stained and varnished African whitewood, the metal parts patinated copper. The artist has sought to bring together polarities such as funny-serious, light-heavy, figurative-abstract. According to him, the two large hemispheres can be seen as representing parents and the cap a child. Alternatively, the work can be seen as a scale that weighs knowledge and emptiness. However, the artist also emphasises the viewer’s freedom to make personal interpretations and avoids assigning the work a definite meaning. The work was produced under the Percent for Art programme, and it belongs to the collection of the City of Helsinki, managed by HAM Helsinki Art Museum. At map
